‘There is no such thing as ‘America’s best’: Trump adviser dismisses criticism of his response to Charlottesville

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said there was no such “America’s Best” when it comes to the response to the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville.

“There is a whole lot of blame to go around,” Conway told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, calling the rally a “white supremacist attack on peaceful protesters.”

Conway, who was White House counselor during President Donald Trump’s first week in office, also said that Trump should not be blamed for his predecessor’s “failure.”

“The President was not responsible for the Charlottesville protests, the President was the one who issued the orders, and he should be held accountable for his decision to go in there,” she said.
